NILOS metal bearing seals are fitted to the side of a standard bearing to seal the inner or outer ring. They are mainly used in agricultural, construction, automotive and industrial applications.
The metal seal is very robust and significantly extends the life of the bearing on which it is mounted.
NILOS Rings
NILOS Seals Types AV and JV (basic models)
These two types of NILOS seals cover the majority of applications. These standard types can be used for peripheral speeds up to 6 m/s, above this, a quotation request is necessary.
NILOS Seals Types ZAV and ZJV
Sealing of bearings already provided with seals or flanges is ensured by NILOS seals of other dimensions, so that the seal included in the bearing is completely encapsulated by the NILOS seal. NILOS seals are necessary in special cases where dirt could seep into the bearing or where condensation forms.
NILOS Seals Types AV, JV and AK for tapered roller bearings
Both NILOS AV and JV seal forms are produced for the bearing side as shown in the picture. The dimensions of the sealing surface are significantly different from those of the other forms due to the difference in width between the inner and outer bearing rings. They are sized to ensure that they are always in place on the bearing ring and thus ensure thant a good seal is achieved in all circumstances.
NILOS seals Types LSTO and LSTL
Steel Disc Seal Type LSTO: A sealing element comprising steel discs, ready for use and capable of carrying thrust loads. The seal operates on a non-contact basis and can follow the axial movements of the bearing rings up to 0.3 mm without any disc jamming.
